| dc.description.abstract | The Covid-19 pandemic, which started in China spread all over the world, has adversely affected health systems and healthcare workers worldwide. Particularly in the service area, the places where the saliva and blood, as well as aerosols and droplets, are dense, have been the most affected environments in the health system. This study aims to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on dental services. For this purpose, the study sample consisted of a total of 23 articles, including research articles, opinion articles, and clinical articles, which included the words "covid" and "dentistry" in the title of the article, received at least one citation, were published in a journal scanned in the web of science and whose full text can be accessed. As a result, the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed that the way dentistry services are provided needs to be changed. The issue of triage should be reviewed, health personnel should make ethical decisions while providing the best service they can give in the current situation, decisions should be made based on evidence and scientific knowledge, and the disadvantaged groups should be included in the scope of financial support and the system should be equal for everyone in accessing these services. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Çin’in Wuhan kentinde başlayıp tüm Dünya’ya yayılan Covid-19 pandemisi Dünya çapında sağlık sistemlerini ve sağlık çalışanlarını olumsuz bir şekilde etkilemiştir. Özellikle hizmet alanında aerosoller ve damlacıklarla birlikte tükürük ve kanın da yoğun olduğu diş hekimliği hizmetlerinin verildiği yerler sağlık sistemi içerisinde en çok etkilenen ortamlar olmuştur. Bu çalışmada amaçlanan Covid-19 pandemisinin diş hekimliği hizmetleri üzerine etkisini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla çalışma örneklemini makale başlığında "covid", "dentistry" kelimelerini içeren, en az bir atıf almış, web of science’ta taranan bir dergide yayınlanmış ve tam metnine erişilebilen araştırma makaleleri, görüş bildiren makaleler ile klinik makaleler olmak üzere toplam 23 çalışma oluşturmuştur. Makalelerin Covid-19’un diş hekimliği hizmetlerine etkisine bakış açıları, tespit edilen problemler, süreçte alınan koruyucu önlemler ve gelecekte benzer senaryolar için olası riskler ve bu risklere karşı önerilen aksiyonlar incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak Covid-19 pandemisi diş hekimliği hizmetlerinin veriliş biçiminin değiştirilmesi gerektiğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Triaj konusunun yeniden gözden geçirilmesi, sağlık personelinin mevcut durumlar çerçevesinde verebileceği en iyi hizmeti verirken etik kararlar alması gerektiği, kararların kanıta ve bilimsel bilgiye dayalı olarak verilmesi gerektiği, ayrıca diş hekimliği hizmetlerine erişimde dezavantajlı olan grupların finansal destek kapsamına alınması ve sistemin herkesin bu hizmetlere erişimde eşitliği sağlaması gerektiği belirlenmiştir. | en_US |
