Özet

Apparently political Islam, particularly its Erdoganist ‘moderate’ version, has dominated Turkey since 2002 and it seems that it has been successful in eliminating its critiques and consolidating itself as the national and international bourgeoisie’s desirable state. This article, to the contrary, aims at showing that political Islam in Turkey is at the stage of collapse owing to specific local and international factors, changes in power balances, the intensification of the class struggle and the essential properties of so-called ‘moderate’ political Islamic movement. © 2017 Critique.
